Q: Let’s start at the beginning to ensure everyone is on the same page. What does semi-integrated with Global Payments Integrated mean?

Soltan: Our semi-integrated device options remove the complexities from software developers by delivering a simple to integrate and pre-certified EMV solution. These options require less development and avoid costly EMV Certification Tools and Resources, allowing you to get your integration to market faster.

Q: What is the difference between choosing a payment partnership versus payment facilitation?
Soltan: While Global Payments Integrated offers both traditional and payment facilitation partnership models, one model may work better for your business than the other. The deciding factor may depend on the verticals you focus on, the average volume you expect end-users to process, onboarding, and pricing models, to name a few. Our Business Development Team will work closely with you to help identify the best partnership model for your business.

Q: In a perfect world, what does a straightforward partner integration look like?

Soltan: A high-level overview of our partner integrations looks like this: 

  • First, we will perform a technical discovery call to help us identify your software model and points of interactions with end-users, discuss your vertical(s) and needs, and distribute the API to best suit your needs.
  • Then, we’ll go through an integration checklist to document all of your technical requirements for the integration.
  • A dedicated Integration Specialist will be assigned to assist you throughout the integration process.
  • Your Integration Specialist will provide your organization with a fully working sandbox environment, including test cards, devices, and a test account.
  • Lastly, there is a streamlined and straightforward certification process!

Q: What differentiates a Global Payments Integrated integration from others?

Q: How long does a typical integration take?

Q: Tell us more about the RESTful JSON APIs that we offer. 

Soltan: Our simple JSON RESTful API provides Web Resources in a textual representation and allows them to be read and modified with a stateless protocol and a predefined set of operations, thereby making it much easier to integrate payments. It also provides interoperability between applications developed or written in various programming languages.

Q: How do our integration specialists keep the process moving, and what support do they provide when new partners are setting up a payment integration?

Soltan: Our Integration Specialists will be there to assist you every step of the way - they will make this process as simple as possible for your development team. They will be available by phone or email and will also schedule regular follow-up meetings with your team to discuss the current state of your integration and address any needs you may have.

Q: What types of functionalities are partners able to get with one simple integration?

Soltan: Our API provides a unified commerce experience allowing our partners to handle a multitude of payment scenarios, including but not limited to in-person, phone, eCommerce, text to pay, and automatic recurring payments. It also provides customers with options of how they would like to pay, whether by credit, debit, ACH, EBT, cash, or by financing their products or services.

We also offer value-added services that enable commerce. For example, merchants can reach their customers faster through our Customer Statements feature, which sends payment requests through text or email. ISVs can also offer our Analytics & Reputation Management tool, which leverages payment data to provide insights on new and returning customers.

Q: What support can partners expect after the integration is set up and running?

Soltan: Our Developer Services Group is always here to support our partners through the life of their integration. They will be available to assist partners with all their development needs, even after their product is certified.
